Green Turtle Tours is part of 5 Star Travel (Samoa)
Ltd. Green Turtle Tours is based in Samoa and was established by Steve Brown, Maria
Meredith and Richard Scultz in 2001. Steve is responsible for all ground operations. He
has extensive knowledge of the tourism industry having established EcoTour Samoa for 10
years and previously working for the department for environment for both the Samoan and
Tuvaluan governments. Maria was born in Samoa and is involved with all Samoan cultural and
land issues for the company. Richard is our financial manager and comes with twenty years
of experience in the financial advice industry.
Rapid expansion of the company has seen
the introduction of a fourth business partner in 2003, Ian Osborn from Pacific Travel
Guides. Ian is responsible for all marketing issues of the company. Our offices are
located at the Travelers Lounge in downtown Apia (near Aggie Grey's). We currently have a
staff base of ten, including four tour guides and six travel and booking consultants.
OUR COMPANY PHILOSOPHY:
Showcasing Samoa and enlightening visitors to the
unique natural and cultural history of Samoa is our company's forte. Simultaneously, our
aim is to offer you a range of exciting and adventurous holiday products and holiday
services that also benefit local villagers. We enjoy fulfilling your travel ethic and thus
enhancing our travel outputs. Jointly, we can make tourism beneficial to Samoa, not just
to our visitors.
OUR CLIENT PROFILE:
Often well-travelled visitors, mostly 25-75 years
of age, highly appreciative of experienced full-time guides, have a passion for islands
and island cultures, and have both an adventurous and humanitarian travel ethic. Also
ideal for those travelling on their own as our full-time guides take excellent care of all
our guests as they travel in and out of our preferred villages.
